Collaboration Agreement between IBM and BSC, funded by IBM Research and IBM Deep Computing organizations

Overall project summary: Statement of Work (SOW) on POWER5 addresses analysis of the interaction between the operating system and the IBM POWER5 processor; (2) effect of the IBM POWER5 hardware prioritization on performance; (3) SMT/CMP behavior characteristics of workloads; and (4) design exploration of current and future SMT/CMP architectures.
